The League of Minnesota Poets 5th annual Agates IndyBookStore Tour will bring five remarkable poets to Garden Party Books on Friday, October 16, at 7 pm: Jon Allen, Susan S. Chambers, Jake Griggs, Loren Niemi and Steven R. Vogel. Admission is free.

The tour showcases the League’s highly anticipated Agates Volume 89, a vibrant poetry collection celebrating the creative spirit of Minnesota’s literary community. This year’s publication will feature the work of more than 90 distinguished and emerging poets from across the state, each contributing unique voices to a tapestry of contemporary verse. The new collection, as well as the poets’ books, will be available for purchase at the event.

Over the coming months, the anthology’s poets will appear at more than 30 independent bookstores throughout Minnesota, sharing their work with audiences in every corner of the state. These events will offer book lovers and poetry enthusiasts the opportunity to connect with the poets, hear new works and celebrate the enduring vitality of Minnesota’s literary culture.
