Donations
We take all kinds of books and puzzles! They can be brought in anytime during normal business hours. If you donate at least five, you will receive a coupon for 20 percent off used books and puzzles!
Ordering New Books
If you need a new book, you can support our store by ordering through our site on bookshop.org. When you order books at Bookshop, they are shipped directly to you, and we receive 30 percent of the purchase price. It helps us out immensely. Thanks for supporting local when you can!
Audio Books
Do you prefer listening to audio books? When you order them through Libro.fm, you support Garden Party Books! They also have an affordable subscription, and when you start it you get a free book! Go to libro.fm/gardenpartybooks to learn more!
Gift Cards
Physical gift cards can be purchased in the store, and online gift cards can be purchased through this link. Online gift cards can be sent with a personal message and scheduled for a later date. It’s a quick way to send a wonderful gift, and a great way to support local business if your recipient lives in Rochester but you don’t.
Local Authors
Garden Party Books loves to support local authors! We do this in a number of ways: we have local book festivals, book launch parties and author events, and we stock some new local books.

Bicyle Benefits
Garden Party is a proud member of the Bicycle Benefits program. Here’s how it works: you get a Bicycle Benefits sticker to put on your helmet (you can get one at our store for $5). When you bike to the store, show us the sticker on your helmet, and you get 10 percent off all the used books you buy. Every time! There are also tons of other great benefits from participating businesses. Learn more here!
Parking
We have a bike rack in front of the store. Car parking is available in front of the book mural. There is also 2 hour street parking on 6th Ave NW (no limits on the weekends). If you are dropping off a big donation, you can pull up under the portico for easier access!
